The course is principally communicative with participants developing in particular excellent speaking and listening comprehension skills. It is the second year of the B1 level - many of the students will present for the Preliminary Pet exam at the end of the year. Students will receive plenty of practice with all the language skills to a comfortable intermediate level. We do separate specific exam preparation from general English courses and on the basis of how the students get on in simulations we will be in touch in February with recommendations to wait or take the exam and as to whether the extra exam preparation is necessary, which in the main it is.In exceptional circumstances we may recommend students take the exam earlier and without extra preparation.
