Children love to act. Every year we give them the opportunity to do so in English! Parents are invited to the shows and children from 7 to 11 get a chance to show them everything they know!
Why drama?Forget the 'ficha'. Number one: it's great fun. Number two: Kids are speaking for real. Children learn to pronounce well, to speak up, to use tone to convey meaning, to pause, to stress and in short to use the language to convey real emotion in language. Younger students also learn to really communicate in another language: A conversation is not just what I say, it's also what I hear. And they learn to connect the spoken and written word. We have lots of fun decorating sets, preparing costumes, working out mimes... It's a group project so they will learn to work to together. Doing drama is not always easy at first but it gives chilren great confidence speaking English. Nothing like the high after a performance. Afterwards they know if they can perform in a play they can do anything in English!
